The best egress windows on the market

We present to you the best below grade, basement egress windows available. Because of the single sash design, inward opening hardware, and if laminated glass is used, we can provide our discerning clients with a product, that can create a great obstacle for break in attempts.
At the same time, this gives you one of the best thermally preforming windows.
The use of casement windows, which open to the outside, is against code for below grade applications. The only option left for the customer is a slider option. Unfortunately, this kind of window have some very big drawbacks.
  • The size of the opening needs to be two times bigger than the required egress size due to the design of the window.
  • These windows are very easy to break into. Most break in attempts are made through the basement and main level windows or doors.
  • The slider design has very poor thermal performance, which over the years, will add up to a large heating bill.

European Windows Platinum Line products address all these issues. Our window sash opens inside, (can be looked at as a reversed casement) and the size of the window to qualify for egress ratings can be much smaller than a sliding window. This, in turn, will allow for a smaller concrete cut, if necessary.
With the design of our windows,  hardware is installed on inside, and is screwed into metal reinforcement.  If laminated glass is used, our windows create a very secure barrier, which is very hard to penetrate.
To see performance of laminated glass, please see the “Break in attempt” video in the link below:

These windows are also among the best thermally performing windows available. During NASF-08 testing our windows have received the maximum, 730 Pa water penetration and maximum A-3 air infiltration performance ratings, making European Windows Platinum Line one of the best performing window and door lines available on the market today.

Welcome to the house with better windows.
Why choose our products for your new house ? For many reasons. For starters, our products will save you money, potentially tens of thousands of dollars in the long run. They will save you the headache of renovations, and give your home a new level of functionality.

Many people who don’t have a background in construction don’t know how windows are installed, and what a large impact they can have on your house. If they are not installed properly, moisture will get through and will cause rot and mold in the house after just a few years. If the wrong window is installed properly, then after a few years, it too will let condensation form inside the walls of your house, leading to mold and unwanted effects.

When the house is in the building stage, it is the best time to install windows properly, as you don’t have siding or stucco interfering with the install. You can tie the window into the envelope covering the house, making sure water can’t penetrate anywhere (it is almost impossible to do this properly during replacements). Meanwhile, renovation costs can be staggering, especially when dealing with moisture-damaged framing of the house. Depending on the size of the house, a complete window replacement can cost $30 000 and above. With this being said, isn't it an obvious choice to get a product that wont need to be replaced in 10 years? Even so, most people replace failed windows with virtually the same product. Our windows and doors will outlast most other products on the market, save you thousands of dollars, and  make your home more comfortable during freezing winter nights and hot summer days.

If your windows have ice build-up in the winter, this can be a sign that your windows have lost their thermal performance. With our windows, you will not experience ice build-up, even with very cold outside temperatures. Let us show you that with our prices and our quality, you cannot find better products anywhere.
